Janessa’s experience includes urban emergency departments in Washington DC and Virginia and Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers. She has done humanitarian medical work in Iraq, Rwanda, Kenya and Trinidad and Tobago.
She also continues to work as a Forensic Nurse Examiner aiding survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She recently completed her doctor of nursing practice and has a passion for patient education and improving access to high quality healthcare.
